本文针对目前在城市建设中出现的忽视自然和人文生态环境，盲目地沿袭平原城市的规划理念与方法，从而导致生态环境的破坏、城市结构的混乱、城市地方特色的消失等一系列问题，重点探讨总体层面的城市设计中如何结合自然山水的问题。文章从生态学和生态美学的理论研究入手，借鉴国内外相关理论的思想与方法。
